PhET offers many simulations to for all kinds of science concepts, ranging from Biology, Chemistry, to Physics. In fact, the name PhET stands for Physics Education Technology and since physics is a heavily simulation based science, where simulations and demonstrations are often needed to completely grasp concepts, science teachers in schools lacking the materials necessary to hold actual demonstrations may find the utilization of this technology very helpful as well as extremely free. :)
Here is how to get started with using Phet on your computer.
- First, go to PhET website: https://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulations/category/new
- Select a simulation from a wide range of science topics on the left, as well as the NEW SIMS depicted center screen. If for a specific subject, go to the left and choose a subject. Biology for instance.
- Choose any one of the [Enter Science Here] simulations displayed. For Biology, I am choosing the Eating and Exercise Simulation,
- Once you've entered the simulation page, you will have the option to either run or download the simulation. The download function downloads a file into your desktop which is then clickable and will bring up the simulation for you. The "run now" uses the flash player on your computer to bring up the simulation, and does not directly download a file into your computer. EITHER function will work for most users although DOWNLOAD typically works for most users, especially for Macs and older PC software.

WOW. This how to use page is very straightforward and how I would like to be informed about Phet! It's great that you kept instructions/wording at a minimal while utilizing pictures that allow for the audience to easily follow along and not get lost. Nice work on the arrows they are very helpful guides.
